Ishita Verma is a Research Assistant (Economics) at the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), where she works on the Health Vertical at DAKSHIN and supports India's BRICS 2026 Chairship under the Partnership on New Industrial Revolution (PartNIR) track in collaboration with DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Her research interests lie at the intersection of economics, public policy, technology and sustainability with a focus on innovation-led development, circular economy and global governance. She has contributed to policy research and international collaborations on sustainable industrial development, health systems, circular economy and waste management. She holds a Master's degree in Economics from Loyola College, Chennai.
