Dr. T.P. Rajendran
Dr. T P Rajendran is an adjunct fellow at RIS since September 2015 and is involved in policy research on harmonization of biosafety regulations in IORA nations for improving their Blue Economy. He is also involved in research on Seeds as tools for development of agriculture in Africa with India-Africa Summit collaborations in this area. Recently he is involved in the BRICS Wellness Forum discussions as well as in the engagement of RIS on SDG related policy research in collaboration with NITI Ayog & MoSPI.
He is a superannuated agricultural scientist specialised in Farm health management along with specialization in Biosecurity and Biosafety. Farm health with emphasis on man-made environmental effects leading to issues in crop and farm animal health has been broadened into the area of Biotic Stresses. In order to develop an institute with deemed university status at Raipur, Chhattisgarh, planning and conceptualization was given as my inputs to get the government approval to establish National Biotic Stress Management Institute, a poly-disciplinary research group to take on research on farm-health management issues as Officer on Special Duty, post retirement as Assistant DG from ICAR.
