The Centre for Maritime Economy and Connectivity (CMEC) at RIS is a research institution and a policy advisory organization under the aegis of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPS&W), Govt. of India. It aims to study India's growth requirements in the maritime sector with reference to engagements with other maritime nations / regions / alliances, as well as India's growth in the maritime sectors elaborated in the Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision (MAKV) - 2047 and Maritime India Vision (MIV) - 2030 documents, released by the Government of India.

Essential qualifications - Post Graduate in Economics/Statistics/Commerce/ Public Policy/Data Science (IT)/MBA (Shipping/Logistics)/Two year PG Diploma in Supply Chain/Logistics/Relevant Discipline.
Eligibility criteria: The upper age limit is 45 years for consultants (relaxable in exceptional cases).
Consultant position is at Level 11 (Assistant Professor Level) and pay would be commensurate to the scale.
PhD candidates from the relevant domain would be preferred. Work / Research Experience in the relevant domain, would be an advantage.
CMEC at RIS expects candidates to have an interest in research and policy related work for which there shall be ample scope in the organization.
