Dr. Sanket Chavan is a Consultant at RIS, working under the Forum on Indian Traditional Medicine (FITM). His work focuses on the Ayush sector and agriculture. His research encompasses trade analysis, market intelligence, and policy-oriented economic analysis, with an emphasis on generating evidence to support informed policymaking. His research examines the globalization of Indian traditional medicine, focusing on its international competitiveness, trade dynamics, and evidence-based policy development. He has a particular interest in the application of econometric methods, especially time-series analysis. Dr. Chavan holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Uttarakhand, and a Master's degree in Agricultural Economics from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. He has authored several research publications in the areas of agricultural trade and market intelligence.
