She earned her Ph.D. in Economics from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, where her doctoral research examined the dimensions and determinants of India's commodity trade. Prior joining RIS, she worked as consultant with ADBI. Her research focuses on international trade dynamics, intra-industry trade, foreign direct investment, and the intersection of trade policy with development outcomes. Her work has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals, including Journal of Economic Studies, Transnational Corporations Review, and Journal of Social and Economic Development. She has also contributed to a book chapter on gravity models in international trade. Dr. Ganguly has presented her research at prominent academic platforms such as the Indian Econometric Society (TIES) Conference and the ISID Conference. Alongside her research, she has teaching experience in microeconomics, macroeconomics, and international trade at IIT Kharagpur. She is proficient in econometric and statistical tools such as STATA, EViews, and SPSS, and her work aims to generate empirically grounded, policy-relevant insights for emerging economies.
