Ms. Namita Mittal is a Research Assistant at the Centre for Maritime Economy and Connectivity (CMEC), RIS. Her work focuses on maritime economics, trade facilitation, regional connectivity, and international maritime cooperation. Her research interests include maritime trade, logistics, shipbuilding and Ship repair, green shipping, maritime routes (Arctic, INSTC, NSR) and regional economic integration. She is also associated with the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW), where she contributes to policy research and provides research inputs for briefing notes, remarks and speeches, talking points, reports, and stakeholder engagements on key maritime initiatives. She has also authored a blog on strengthening India's ship repair ecosystem. She holds a master’s degree in economics from IGNOU.
