विकासशील देशों के लिए अनुसंधान और सूचना प्रणाली (आरआईएस) एक नई दिल्ली स्थित स्वायत्त नीति अनुसंधान संस्थान है जो अंतर्राष्ट्रीय आर्थिक विकास, व्यापार, निवेश और प्रौद्योगिकी से संबंधित मुद्दों में माहिर है। आरआईएस को वैश्विक और क्षेत्रीय आर्थिक मुद्दों पर विकासशील देशों के बीच प्रभावी नीति वार्ता और क्षमता-निर्माण को बढ़ावा देने के लिए एक मंच के रूप में कल्पना की गई है।

आरआईएस के कार्य कार्यक्रम का ध्यान दक्षिण-दक्षिण सहयोग को बढ़ावा देना है और विभिन्न मंचों में बहुपक्षीय वार्ता में विकासशील देशों के साथ सहयोग करना है। आरआईएस कई क्षेत्रीय आर्थिक सहयोग पहल की अंतर-सरकारी प्रक्रियाओं में लगी हुई है। सोच टैंकों के अपने गहन नेटवर्क के माध्यम से, आरआईएस अंतरराष्ट्रीय आर्थिक मुद्दों और विकास साझेदारी कैनवास पर नीतिगत मजबूती को मजबूत करने की कोशिश करता है।

AIC

Considering the work of the ASEAN-India Eminent Persons Group (AIEPG), and its Report with recommendations for forging a closer partnership for peace, progress and shared prosperity, the Heads of the State/Government of ASEAN and India at the ASEAN-India Commemorative Summit 2012, held at New Delhi on 19-20 December 2012, recommended the establishment of ASEAN India Centre (AIC) using existing resources at New Delhi. AIC was formally inaugurated by the Hon’ble External Affairs Minister of the Government of India at RIS on 21 June 2013.

DAKSHIN - Global South Centre of Excellence emanates from an announcement made by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, during the 1st Voice of Global South Summit in January 2023.

Center for Maritime Economy and Connectivity (CMEC)

As a key step towards realizing the Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision 2047 (MAKV - 2047), a Memorandum of Agreement was signed between the Indian Ports Association (IPA) and the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS) in the presence of the Hon'ble Minister of Ports Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW), Shri Sarbananda Sonowal. The agreement marked the launch of the Centre for Maritime Economy and Connectivity (CMEC) at RIS - a think tank to give shape to India's maritime ambitions and various associated dimensions.

Delhi Process

Science, Technology And Innovation Policy (STIP) Forum

The STIP Forum has been founded with objectives, inter alia, of promoting informed debate on various aspects of Science, Technology and Innovation Policy. Keeping this in mind a Lecture Series (Since September 2017) aimed at the broader public is being organized. The STIP Forum will also bridge the gap between the science and society through dissemination of information on developments in S&T as well as through kindling debate of societal aspirations and expectations from S&T and Innovation. Under the Monthly Lecture Series, a partner institution will take the lead to organize a lecture by a distinguished expert.

FITM

The Ministry of AYUSH has established the Forum on Indian Traditional Medicine (FITM) in RIS as a common platform for all actors and stakeholders to come together to contribute to pragmatic policy making in the area and to develop a proactive strategy to be espoused by India at the international level.

FIDC

The FIDC aims to encourage detailed analysis of broad trends in South-South cooperation and contextualise Indian policies by facilitating discussions across various subject streams and stakeholders based on theoretical and empirical analysis, field work, perception surveys and capacity building needs.

Forum For Indian Science Diplomacy (FISD)

FISD has been established by Science Diplomacy Program and is hosted at RIS. FISD is an initiative to link stakeholders in Indian Science Diplomacy and create opportunities for greater engagement with Science Diplomacy. FISD organizes webinars, seminars, publishes inter alia, reports. The webpage has details about various activities undertaken by FISD.

Delhi Process

RIS initiated the Delhi Process conferences to bring together the academic community, policymakers, practitioners, civil society and other stakeholders including various international development cooperation agencies. The South Asia Centre for Policy Studies (SACEPS) is a network organisation engaged in addressing regional issues of common concern in South Asia. SACEPS has already established an institutional base, which is used to reach out to and network with some of the well established national institutions within the region, for promoting cooperation for peace and development amongst the countries and people of South Asia

BIMSTEC Network of Policy Think Tanks (BNPTT)

RIS has been working on BIMSTEC cooperation since its inception. RIS is also a founder member of the BIMSTEC Network of Policy Think Tanks (BNPTT). RIS regularly brings out reports, discussion papers and policy briefs on various areas of cooperation within BIMSTEC, and organises seminars and conferences from time to time in collaboration with other think tanks from the member states.
