Avinash is a Research Assistant at RIS, where his work focuses on policy-oriented economic research. His research interests include economic corridors, sovereign credit ratings, infrastructure finance, digital finance, and resilient infrastructure. He has contributed to several policy studies, research inputs, and analytical reports in these areas.

Previously, he worked as a Research Intern at the Reserve Bank of India's Department of Statistics and Information Management (DSIM), where he analyzed India's bilateral trade with G20 economies and examined the competitiveness of India's services exports in comparison with G20, BRICS, and ASEAN countries. He holds an M.A. in Economics from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University Delhi and a B.A. (Hons.) in Economics from Shivaji College, University of Delhi.
