
Advertisement for Recruitment of Contractual/Project-Based Personnel for the Traditional Medicine Review (TMR) Journal Secretariat, AIIA Goa
The Forum on Indian Traditional Medicine (FITM) has been established by the Ministry of Ayush within the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS) as a dedicated platform to bring together all relevant actors and stakeholders in the Indian traditional medicine space. FITM aims to foster evidence-based policy making in the area of Indian Systems of Medicine (ISMs), encompassing Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, Sowa Rigpa and Homeopathy.
As part of this mandate, FITM/RIS publishes the Traditional Medicine Review (TMR), a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to research, evidence and policy in traditional medicine. The TMR Journal Secretariat shall be hosted at the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), Goa. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the following posts on a purely contractual/project-based basis:

Essential qualification |
Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) from a recognised university/institution, and a minimum of one year of research experience. |

MPH, MD/MS (Ayurveda) or a related qualification. |

Broad responsibilities |
Literature searches and evidence synthesis; preliminary scientific scrutiny of manuscripts; coordination with authors and reviewers; verification of references, tables and figures; preparation of background notes, thematic summaries, policy briefs and editorial material; maintenance of review records; and any other research or editorial work assigned by the authorised Secretariat. |
General Requirement:
Candidates must possess strong communication skills, innovative thinking, combined with the ability to apply contemporary knowledge and developments to policy-relevant research studies, and be fully committed to completing assigned tasks in a time-bound manner. Familiarity with India’s traditional medicine policy frameworks, scholarly publishing and/or international health governance would be an added advantage.
Tenure:
The initial tenure may be for one year or for such period as approved by FITM/RIS, extendable subject to continuation of the project/funding, satisfactory performance and administrative requirement.
